Video: Live debut for ‘Penetrate my Soul’

‘Penetrate my Soul’ made it’s live debut, with Ineke Garder’s vocal interpretation. Even though it is a song written with a rock band kind of groove in mind, I wondered if the song would be able to be played acoustically with the right voice.  At Cafe Retro (24 May 2012), Ineke’s rendition gave the song a new angle, with her signature soul, feel and power for it’s first public performance.

There’s still some way to go with ironing out some kinks with our performance as we get to know develop the song, but Ineke’s voice carried nicely right through the song. I’d like to get a beat (Kahun or drums) for the next performance, and maybe some bass.

The song is about the people in your life, who believe in you, sometimes more than you believe in yourself. (Click here for the earlier article about the song, including lyrics)

Special thanks to those who came and supported with their love and kind words that evening, Ramune, Laima, Jennifer, Niklas, Henrik (And that great bunch Ineke’s friends I’m yet to get to know!). Also to my partner in ‘film making’ crime, Max.
